Here at All In One Season we feel privileged when a bride chooses us to take care of her wedding flowers. We work with brides all year round; every season brings its own variety of flowers, but none more so than summer when the garden is full of endless sumptuous floral textures and colours. To see some of our wedding work, check out our pinterest wedding flowers board…

But what exactly goes on behind the scenes when we work with wedding clients? Read on to find out…

Stage One – Pre-consultation

So we can get the most out of our face-to-face consultation, we always ask our brides to create either a physical or digital mood board. This gives us a real feel for what each bride is looking to achieve on her big day, giving us information about the venue, the dress, chosen colour schemes, wedding themes, flowers they like and so on. Here at All In One Season we can cater for anything from traditional or vintage wedding flowers through to more modern wedding flowers or unusual wedding flowers.

Stage Two – Consultation

All In One Season Wedding BouquetsThe next step is for our brides to come over to our All In One Season Workshop in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, usually with Mum and bridesmaids, and we have a chat over a frothy coffee or herbal tea (and maybe a few cakes…) Usually our brides meet with us about a year before their wedding, but we have had early birds come to us with more than two years to spare and others who are cutting it fine with only four months left!

At this point we’ll look at some of my Dutch design books and I can show them other wedding flower arrangements I’ve done in the past as a guide to what is possible. Church wedding flowers, corsages, flowers for the cake, wedding table flowers, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, thank you bouquets, garlands and even floral chandeliers…practically anything is possible! As with everything we do here at All In One Season, we only create bespoke floral designs so our bride is guaranteed unique wedding flowers on her day.

Once we’ve got a good idea about the style, flowers and the variety of floral designs needed, we’ll then take a look at all the available Dutch glassware, ceramics and complementary materials, which can all be hired out as part of our wedding flower package.

All finishing materials that are used in our designs are imported from Holland as we are a Dutch floral design company. Our flowers normally come from Dutch wholesalers, but if a more unusual wedding flower is needed we will source these locally from ‘Flowers From The Farm” or from our own garden.

The flowers on the day were AMAZING! Everyone commented on them and the hotel said they were one of the best they had seen. The beautiful designs and attention to detail made the whole day extra special. Thank you to Alice and her wonderful designs.

Stage Three – Site Visit

Once we have made all final decisions on what the bride wants, we will carry out a site visit to create the final plan and identify any potential issues. We’ve worked at lots of different venues, from barns, to stately homes, castles and even Richard Branson’s rooftop gardens in London! We will work with wedding locations pretty much anywhere in the South and East of England, from Devon right up to Norfolk and Birmingham.

The other crucial thing to know about All in One Season is that we only work on one wedding per week unlike many other floral designers.

Stage Four – The Wedding

All In One Season Wedding Floral DesignsThe week of the wedding the All In One Season team will be busy preparing and making all of the floral arrangements, then on the day of the wedding we’ll be up super early – it’s important that we give our full attention to all the small finishing touches to ensure that the end result is absolutely stunning. First drop off are the wedding party flowers. Next stop is tackling the church wedding flowers, and finally it’s a race against time to get the reception venue set-up before the guests arrive.

I’m very lucky to have such a great All In One Season Team around me made up of loyal volunteers, work experience students or the ladies from my AiOS workshops who are always willing to come along to lend a helping hand. Without them it wouldn’t be possible (or as much fun!) to get everything done on time.

Stage Five – Post Wedding

We always look forward to receiving pictures, cards or lovely messages on Facebook. This really makes all the hard work worthwhile, knowing we’ve had a part to play in someone’s special day 🙂

“To wonderful Alice and her fabulous team. Our day at the Hotel Felix was perfect and everything we wished for came true – your ability to really understand people’s dreams and turn them into reality is a rare talent and we’re so glad we found you!”
